Chalkboard is a mobile application designed to help users discover climbing gyms around the world. This page explains what information the app uses and how it is handled.

Information Used by the App

The app may use the following information:

• Your location, to display nearby climbing gyms and centre the map.
• Profile information that you choose to enter, such as your name, bio, climbing experience, preferred climbing styles, home gym and profile picture.
• Saved data including favourite gyms, visited gyms, wishlist, map settings and other app preferences.

Providing profile information is optional.

How Your Data Is Stored

Chalkboard does not collect or store your personal data on the developer's servers. All profile information, saved gyms and settings are stored locally on your device.

Third-Party Services

Chalkboard uses Google Maps Platform services, including Google Maps, Google Places and the Google Geocoding API. These services are used to display maps, retrieve climbing gym information and perform location searches.

Information processed by these services is subject to Google's own Privacy Policy.

Permissions

The app may request access to:

• Location - to display nearby climbing gyms.
• Photos - only if you choose to set a profile picture from your device.

You can manage these permissions at any time through your device settings.

Data Sharing

The developer does not sell, rent or share your personal information with third parties.
